Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star has substantial online following
Kai Trump can count on multiple high-profile backers when she makes her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, owns numerous courses worldwide and often plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa essentially advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a superior individual. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, and go with whatever happens."
Kai will face several top competitors in the sport at this tournament, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, particularly with younger fans.
The social media influencer maintains substantial online presence and has started an exclusive fashion and living company.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
