The President Welcomes Loved Ones of Shot Guard Soldiers to the Presidential Residence

President Donald Trump revealed on Sunday that he has asked the relatives of a National Guard member killed last week to come to the White House.

He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “heartbroken”.

Specialist Beckstrom, twenty years old, was killed in a shooting on last Wednesday in DC.

Her colleague, Andrew Wolfe, 24, is still in the hospital in critical condition.

Gatherings across the state have occurred in their remembrance.

The commander-in-chief stated he’s talked about a visit to the White House for the loved ones of both individuals of the state Guard.

“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a difficult moment, arrive at the White House. We’re going to honor Sarah,” Trump told the press. “And likewise with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.”

Public Response

Community members gathered over the weekend at a local school in West Virginia to remember Sarah.

Both they had been serving with the military unit as part of the president’s federal initiative to aid public safety in the capital.

Paying Tribute to Sarah Beckstrom

“Sarah was the individual that instructors desired. She behaved with quiet strength, a bright grin and a upbeat demeanor that inspired people around her,” the principal, the head of Beckstrom’s alma mater, informed the media. “She was sweet, compassionate and always eager to assist people.”

Funeral arrangements for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Judicial Steps and Government Adjustments

Law enforcement have charged a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

The tragedy caused the government to suspend asylum processing and cease issuing visas to holders of Afghan passports.

Condition of Wolfe

Wolfe, a resident of Martinsburg, enlisted in February 2019 and is a graduate of Musselman high school, per the Associated Press.

He is still undergoing care and is “fighting for his life”, the state’s governor the governor said on a news program.

Attorney general Bondi stated on a news show that she aimed to meet with his relatives.

Memory of Beckstrom

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from Webster County High in mid-2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a law enforcement officer with excellence, as stated by the state guard.

“She had a lot of compassion and she certainly had fortitude,” he told the crowd at the service. “Though her time ended too soon, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
