British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on late Wednesday. The athlete was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on the 29th of December, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his management team had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.
“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and full of emotions over the passing of his two close friends.”
